Photonics for Future Computing

ABOUT US

Open doors of new computing with photonics

Photonics has been realizing high-speed, high-density and low-power data transmission and evolving high-performance CMOS computing. For next generation computing, photonics performs data processing as well as transmission, and has a great potential to realize scaling quantum computers and brain-inspired computing.
In Professor Nakagawa’s Group, we develop photonics for next generation computing. Current research focuses are vertical-microcavity, quantum-dot, single-photon sources for photonic quantum computers and quantum repeaters, and photonic integrated circuits for photonic-reservoir computing.
